People aged over 60 and in good health are invited for direct involvement in research projects as participants and for participation in focus group discussions or similar that help us to design our research studies.  Led by Professor Anna Whittaker, the Stirling 1000 Elders group is an essential resource for the University’s Healthy Ageing Researchers. The Stirling 1000 Elders are key to helping us to understand how to promote and maintain good health and wellbeing in older age.

If you are a researcher and would like to utilise Stirling 1000 Elders for recruitment or other research activities, please email a.c.whittaker@stir.ac.uk with:

  1. What you would like to do – all activities
  2. A cover email that I can include when writing to the Elders to possibly recruit to your activity – all activities
  3. Proof of ethics approval – if for a research study
  4. Participant Information Sheet detailing eligibility criteria – if for a research study

If you are using Stirling 1000 Elders to recruit or for research activity or grant applications we request that you cite this usage in all publications/application forms.
